The branch has been very active in raising money for the Battle of Britain Wings Appeal.
Each year between 2001and 2007 we have raised well over £10,000. The record was in 2006 with £14,000.

We have contributed a cumulative total of £123,883 over 14  years of Branch existance. A Dinner to celebrate the achievement of £100,000 was held on Friday 26 October 2007. See report.

Sylvia Bonner, now Hon Sec,continues her extraordinary efforts in placing boxes of aircraft pin badges in pubs, clubs and offices. Her endeavours to date have raised donations totalling  £7,768

Our flagship events have become our annual RAF Band concerts. The first , in March 2003 was the RAF Squadronaires, with subsequent concerts by the Central Band of the RAF in each year 2004-2009. The cumulative total raised is £24,420. The next concert will be held on Wednesday 3rd March 2010.

Over £114,000 raised by branch for RAFA Wings Appeal 1995-2008

The Branch was formed in October 1995 and the cumulative amount raised now totals  £119,000. Our thanks to all who have contributed to our fund raising activities.
